Cerberus is a triple-barrelled revolver (pictured above, of course) that the character Vincent Valentine uses in Advent Children and Dirge of Cerberus.

If you know the first thing about Greek mythology, then you probably know that Cerberus is the three-headed guardian dog of the underworld. The "dog" motif is all over Vincent's gun as a result — on the barrels and the keychain.

So, why Cerberus? Why name a gun after a mythological dog? I've lost the link, but I read that the creators of Dirge of Cerberus connected "dogs" with Vincent because he's a former Turk — a "dog" of the powerful Shin-Ra Company.
